Simulation Modelling for Valero Energy
TSC has been working on simulation modelling for Valero Energy to create a dynamic models for two of their compressor systems; the Power Recovery Turbine and Wet Gas Compressor.
The system includes a complete start-up and shutdown sequence integrated into the existing TSC fluid catalytic cracking unit simulator. The Power Recovery Turbine extracts power from high pressure gases created during the cracking process and uses it to generate electricity for use in the main plant.
TSC is proud to have an on-going relationship with Valero Energy. Having worked with the refinery on many projects over several years, including a full installation of a Virtual Control Room designed to emulate the training needs for operators at the Valero Refinery in Pembrokeshire, UK.
