Fluidised Catalytic Cracker Unit (FCCU) Simulation Now Available
SIM 4730 Fluidised Catalytic Cracker Unit (FCCU) model introduces the basic operation of the reactor and regenerator sections of the Cat Cracker Unit, allowing the user to concentrate on the fundamental operation of the core sections without the requirement of managing the associated downstream production facilities.
This model is consist of four basic sections:
- Feed stock and pre-heat section
- The reactor and regeneration section
- The air blower and heater
- The necessary ancillaries such as the torch oil and high-pressure steam are used for both starting and controlling the reaction
The model is supplied with two starts. A steady state ‘Design’ start, is useful for investigating control parameter changes on the process operation, and for monitoring operator response to unusual situations, that can be a consequence of plant operation. A fault and scenario building package is also included in the model.
